Ironman Training – Day 92

Bike: 42 miles(20 miles cranks); Run: 10 miles
Started way late today, around 1pm. I got in 42 of the planned 46 miles, due to time. The sun was going down, and i knew I had to get my run in. The bike was tough, specifically getting my heart rate up to 175. This also was the case on my run. It was definitely below freezing on the run when i started. Plus, I had to find a stretch of road that wasn’t icy, or too icy.
I had the best run in z4 this training season. I couldn’t get my heart rate up to 184, but that didn’t matter. I put down around 6:25 miles which is awesome for me. Especially when my heart rate reached a hight of 177, maybe that. It was cold though, so i’m sure the weather had something to do with it. I’m really counting this workout today as a bench mark for overcoming the cold, and desire to do the workout. It’s New Year’s day, and i spent over 5 hours training. That’s pretty cool.
