Day Off – family time

So Sunday’s are my day off, and for good reason. Today was perfect weather, warm, sunny, and started the day off with a walk with the dogs down to the big field we used to play in when Harry was a puppy, and when we used live in Tantra Park. We still have the condo, and it was a great place to live. Backed up to open space, and plenty of areas for the dogs to play. Took a tennis ball with us today, Harry’s favorite. I used to just keep throwing the ball to Harry and he would retrieve, and did this at least once, if not twice a day when we lived here.
Lhasa doesn’t really care too much for the ball. She likes to socialize. A greyhound joined the party, and was so fast. What took Harry 15 or 20 steps took this greyhound 3 or 4. I can’t get over how it was galloping, and retrieving the ball. Harry was bit disappointed because it was his ball. He gets over it quickly. Here’s a few photos from today.
I also thought I’d include a photo of my wife, popping into my office the other day. It’s great to see her face, now that her massage practice has moved out of the home.
Legs feel pretty good after yesterday’s ride. I was a little sore last night, but recovery has been great during these first 13 weeks. Starting week 14 tomorrow. Hoping to get in another good week of running mileage.
Totals from Week #13:
Swim: 9500 yards
Bike: 167 miles
Run: 43 miles
