Sunday: Last Day of Build
Written by admin on October 13, 2008 – 7:07 am -Build is now officially over. Moving into Peak on Monday. I had higher expectations for Sunday, but ended up only getting in my long swim for the week. With the company of Jess and Kristina at the EBRC Pool, I managed to get through it. Surprisingly, as I entered the pool and swam my first 50 yards, I felt pretty good. Maybe because it was the 4th straight day of swimming. Thanks guys, it really helped me to get it done, especially joining me for the paddle/sprint work.
I also was emailing back and forth with Tim about my run on Saturday, and how I wasn’t ‘on’. He mentiones that riding on the trainer is not comparable to riding outdoors at all it seems. 3 hours on the trainer is like 4-1/2 hours outside. So I rode 6 hours on the trainer, that must be like 7-1/2 hours outside. No wonder my run was a bit off. I also rode the PowerCranks for 10 miles. I’m going to be conscious of that more over the next few weeks. See if it affects anything. Maybe ride more on time than miles when on the trainer.

I agree: miles are arbitrary, time is what matters and the trainer cuts the BS.
nice job Saturday.
