Core Power Yoga!
Written by admin on November 7, 2008 – 4:47 pm -I totally forgot about yoga. I guess i’ve been so deep in training and focused on swim/bike/run for IMAZ that I forgot the days I would go to Core Power Yoga and come home feeling GREAT. Today, I jumped in a C2 class at the CorePowerYoga studio in South Boulder. I need to do this more often, heard that before… But really, need to get back to it when training is done for the season. Not only for the physical benefits, but my mind comes away clear and focused, and fired up. How often do you take an hour of your day to stretch slowly, and really embed your mind into it? For me, never. Unless it’s yoga like this. Even up to 15 min before class, i was doubting going. But so glad I did.
Ran a few miles this morning in the Nike Trainers…sweet shoes, and really make me feel light, and fast. The last mile I stopped home to grab Harrison, our 6 year old Golden. And just like Jess has been pushing me these last few months, Harry kept it going. He was pushing the pace, dragging me along for a mile. Cool down? Don’t think he knows what that is. So looks like the whole family is behind me on this race. I’m very lucky!
