Race Week: Tuesday

Written by admin on November 18, 2008 – 12:46 pm -

Woke up this morning with alot of energy.  With the sun just barely breaking through the dark, I figured I’d get my run done early.  Stepped outside, and it was warm, really warm out.  Drank down my cup of coffee, a glass of water, then headed out for a short run.  Worked in some race pace efforts, then shut it down.  Felt really good out there.

Returning home, Jess was at the bedroom window just waking up…but Lhasa was still sleeping, she said.  I truly do enjoy the mornings, getting up before most people, and starting my day with a workout.  Somehow, in my mind at least, I feel I’m already ahead of the game.  Jess and I headed up to the Rec Center pool for a quick workout.  The last swim here in Boulder, at least until we return from IMAZ.  I’m filling up with excitement, and anticipation of what’s to come in a few days.  I don’t know how else to express it.

I’m definitely going to miss the dogs a ton.  I think that’s more of what I’m thinking about on a daily basis.  When you spend 20 hours a day with the animals, then your gone for 5 days with no interaction, shock to my system.

I think that’s it for now.  I plan to post daily now leading up to Sunday.  Now it’s rest and hydrate…and work of course.

  1. Jess Says:

Don’t forget to tell everyone about the jeans honey….they didn’t fit, they didn’t work and they are now back on the rack at Walmart.

Can’t wait to get on the plane and head out for our next pre-determined date with destiny.
