What to Work on This Week

Trying to find a rhythm this week.  Funny how fast you lose it once you change your plan.  New focus this summer is the Stroke n Stride series, which falls on a Thursday night.  So shuffling things around has been challenging.  Woke up at 4am, worked till 5:10, the sun was coming up, and it was perfect out, so i headed out for my run.  Just an hour, easy, keeping it light right now trying to get the legs back.

Working all day, and then hitting a 6pm masters if it doesn’t lightning, but that’s what I’m hearing from my office right now.  It’s raining, and thundering.  It will pass though.

Just got off the phone with Wilson, raced Mooseman this past weekend in NH.  Set a PR on the 1/2, and  I know he could have gone faster with a taper and rested legs.  But totally fired up for him, he’s 12 weeks out from Canada.  It will all come together.

PM:

Rode the trainer for a bit, it was raining outside, and the threat of tornadoes too.  Biked down to the Scott Carpenter outdoor pool for a 6pm masters.  Perfect weather, really like doing the backstroke looking up at the clouds, it’s peaceful.  Swam for 1 hour, 2500 meters.  Thinking about doing more of these.
